The first is a B & B in modern accommodation south of the town on the road to the Italian seaside resort of Follonica. The second, a Tuscany farmhouse with a swimming pool in the beautiful surrounding countryside, also a short drive from the coast.

The family-run Borgognano Farm House is set in 25 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, fruit orchards, wheat and sunflowers fields... with a fabulous pool overlooking a valley and four horses to ride into the adjacent special nature reserve of Parco di Montioni.
The accommodation comprises of two double rooms with private bathrooms, two studio apartments and two larger apartments. The prices are very competitive and there is no accommodation charge for children under 12 years of age.

Bed and Breakfast La Cura

This Maremma, Tuscany Bed and Breakfast - "La Cura" - may be found approximately 10 kilometres south of Massa Marittima, in a tiny hamlet called Cura Nuova. The Maremma Italy map.
(I drive through Cura Nuova nearly every day and it is here that I buy local wine, fruit and vegetables, and eat out. But Cura Nuova isn't a place in which you would choose to stay in order to stroll around and explore after dinner etc. It is, however, very close to the wonderful old medieval cites of Massa Marittima, Gavorrano, and Scarlino, and the spectacular beaches in the Golf of Follonica.)
The bedrooms each have a private bathroom with shower, television, fridge and balcony. There are private car parking facilities, and a garden with a barbecue.
The owners of Bed and Breakfast La Cura also run "La Bottega della Cura", where you may taste quality local "artigianale" (artisan) products and wines, including their own vintages. La Bottega is also a bar and "caffetteria", coffee shop.
