Italy bed and breakfast in undiscovered and breathtakingly beautiful Maremma in Tuscany and Lazio - Italy's best kept secret.

Although Maremma Italy bed and breakfasts are still somewhat rare and well outnumbered by "agriturismi" or farm holiday, and "affittacamere", "camere"/rooms to rent, they do exist and in some of the loveliest of places.

The wonderful photograph above by Tommaso Zannerini is of Casa Ximenes within the Riserva Naturale Diaccia Botrona: a natural marsh close to the medieval town and port of Castiglione della Pescaia.

A family-run B & B in an old farmhouse within woodland close to Montieri. Five rooms sleeping between two and six people, four of which have independent entrances. Suvereto

If you cannot find a Bed and Breakfast in the town or locality in which you were thinking of staying, then I would suggest that you consider the "Affittacamere/Camere/Rooms" option.

In brief, they offer the same basic amenities as a Bed and Breakfast bedroom, but usually without breakfast or the owner living in the same accommodation (normally in an adjoining or adjacent house).
