Sticciano, Maremma Photos

These photographs of Sticciano were taken on a gloriously warm mid-January afternoon. It wasn't possible to include them all in the information about the hamlet (link below) without making the loading time for the page impractical.

Together, they are by no means an exhaustive view of this special place and I would encourage you to take a trip to this part of Maremma Grossetana to see for yourself.

The 360 degree panorama of the plain below traversed by the torrents of Rigo, Bai, Fossa and Asina, the surrounding Maremman hills upon which reside Guincarico, Montemmassi, and Roccastrada, and the Monte Leoni massif upon which this hamlet itself sits, is simply stunning.

The tranquility here is intense and so welcoming a change from our everyday bustle of life. Whether living here is too quiet for some, who knows, but I suspect that those who do so relish it.
