Three Maremma Travel Tips

by Aurora Baccheschi Berti

Dear Donna

I would mention Fuori rotta, a nice place on the beach. It looks a little like the Hamptons, with dunes and wildbeaches at the end of a wonderful walk in the pine woods.

Another place that very few people know is Macchiatonda, after Capalbio scalo. There is a restaurant right on the beach.

One of my very favourites is La Pineta, Marina di Bibbona. I am sure you have heard, if not already experienced it!, a wonderful incredibly wonderful fish restaurant, always on the beach.

And of course, our Castello di Vicarello for a few days hidaway. Organic wines, organic farm, great food, yoga master, ayurvedic therapist, chlorine free swimming pools, and great views. We also provide cooking classes, and I am currently in NY for the launch of my cookbook, which, I must say, is a beautiful book, with easy recipes, true Italian style.
