Maremma, Italy is the undiscovered south-eastern part of Tuscany with over 250km of spectacular Tyrrhenian Sea coastline with prestine white and black sand beaches, crystal clear emerald and turquoise waters... and the cove of Cala Violina, the most beautiful beach in Italy.
Inland there is a stunning landscape of wild, densely wooded hills, emerging out of sweeping river plains... and medieval cities, towns, villages and hamlets in which time appears to have stood still and in which the tranquility is profound.
And then there are the famous super Tuscan wines and the home-cooked Maremma food - the Slow Food movement is an intrinsic part of life here - in which seasonal flavours and harvests are celebrated using ancient family recipes. Just try one of the Maremman specialities, such as "cinghiale in umido" - wild boar stew - and you will not want to leave.

The best place to find independent reviews for over two thousand B&B's in Tuscany is without a doubt on TripAdvisor.com: no where else has so many recomendations and thumbs down feedback in one place and the facility for you to easily search them by location or type of accommodation, i.e a B&B with a swimming pool and/or beach, with disabled and wheelchair access, restaurant, or dogs allowed etc.

From here you can also sort by price, breakfast included in the price, free Wi-Fi etc. until you have found the one that is just right for you.

Tuscany Bed and Breakfast Alternatives:
Affittacamere & Agriturismo Farmhouse Accommodation
If you cannot find a Tuscan Bed and Breakfast in the town or area in which you are thinking of staying, then an "Affittacamere/Camere/Rooms" option may well give you what you are looking for. In brief, they offer the same basic amenities as a bed and breakfast bedroom, but usually without breakfast provided or the proprietors sleeping across the landing as is the usual norm in the UK. (In Maremma you wil lfind them close by in an adjoining or adjacent house).
Or, quite a few Tuscany farmhouses with accommodation - "agriturismi" - also offer bed and breakfast options either in the main villa or in the self-catering apartment accommodation alongside. In this case, however, many may require a minimum number of nights stay or only offer the facility out of high season. With an agriturismo B&B you will can find yourself not only in a self-contained apartment for the price of a bedroom in town, but also served fresh farm produce and homemade Tuscan bread and jams for breakfast.
